Wildcats suffer first home game loss

The Perth Wildcats have dropped back to back matches against the New Zealand Breakers.

After losing Thursday night's clash in New Zealand 88-84 the Wildcats sought revenge only to fall short 88-82.

JP Tokoto scored a season high 30-points while Bryce Cotton contributed with 19.

Coach Trevor Gleeson said they needed to get more of the team involved.

“We have to have better support, JP and Bryce had the bulk of our scoring and we have to get other guys involved” Gleeson said.

“I though he (Tokoto) was explosive tonight, the way he was able to use his athleticism and speed to create opportunities was great.”

Big man Angus Brandt suffered an ankle injury and will need scans to assess the damage.

The Wildcats head to Brisbane next to take on the Bullets on Friday night.
