Wildcats still chasing road glory

The Perth Wildcats have lost back to back matches on the road suffering a 88-84 result against the New Zealand Breakers.

A furious Wildcats rally took place late in the game to keep the match alive into the dying moments but it wasn't enough come the final buzzer.

Perth missed an opportunity to head to the top of the NBL ladder but have a chance to redeem themselves on Sunday when the Breakers hit town for the return leg.

Bryce Cotton scored 26-points, Jean-Pierre Tokoto contributed with 15-points and Jesse Wagstaff 11.

Coach Trevor Gleeson said you must take your chances against a side like the Breakers.

“They played great down the stretch, but this is nothing we can’t fix.” Gleeson said.

“They protected home court advantage, and on Sunday we’re going to have to do the same.”
