Dockers down Pies at new home

The Dockers have broken through in the AFLW competition defeating Collingwood by 13-points.

After a poor start to the competition last weekend the Dockers hit back to record the 6.4.40 to 4.3.27 in front of over 41,000 fans at Perth Stadium.

Melissa Caufield and Dana Hooker booted two goals each, Hooker also collecting 20 disposals.

Dockers coach Michelle Cowan praised her teams continued effort.

"They were really focused on the four quarters, on coming to play and on preparing really well to play so I’m really proud of them in that regard," Cowan said.

"No doubt, the occasion is an incredible occasion and a really special day for our football club and women’s sport as a whole."

Fremantle played the undefeated Melbourne at Fremantle Oval next Sunday afternoon.
