Wildcats take game one on the road

The Perth Wildcats are one step closer to another grand final series after a 91-69 smashing of the Cairns Taipans.

It was the perfect way to start the three game series with a win on the road.

Bryce Cotton scored 34-points the highest from a Wildcat since 2008.

Casey Prather continued his rich form with another 22-points.

Coach Trevor Gleeson said that’s what he wants his team to do.

“We executed the game plan well. We knew we had to be a tight unit coming here. We were aggressive and rebounded well,” said Gleeson said.

“Last time we thought we didn’t rebound as well as we could have, and we were also moving the ball well, east to west, we had Bryce on the move and Casey being aggressive.”

Game two is at the Perth Arena on Monday night.
