Thunder hold off East Perth

Peel Thunder held off a fast finishing East Perth to win round one of the WAFL season by 17-points.

A bag of four goals of Leroy Jetta led the Thunder to victory 7.11.53 to 4.12.36.

Harley Balic had 30 touches for Peel after missing majority of 2016 through injury.

Hayden Crozier and Rory O’Brien gathered 26 possessions each.

The Thunder led by as much as 31-points at three quarter-time before the Royals booted three goals to one in the final quarter to reduce the final margin.
