About Jo Pepper:

I’m from a sheep farming background in the south-west, have worked as a secretary, stay-at-home-mum, part-time in a production nursery (Wood’s Cottage Nursery), had a small mixed farm in the Avon Valley and written for the Avon Valley Advocate and York Chronicle.

Since moving to Mandurah with my husband and our two children, I’ve worked six years at a retail garden centre, trained in garden care products and completed short courses in garden design, edible landscapes and became a Water Corporation WaterWise Specialist. I presented the ‘Garden 2 Plate’ workshops at the Mandurah Community Gardens for two years, and since 2014 have been employed as a Horticultural Support Officer in a property maintenance team, supporting adults with disability or mental illness – a very rewarding position.
