Car used to kidnap man in Cooloongup found in Secret Harbour

Detectives are still looking for a gunman and his two accomplices who kidnapped and bashed a 32-year-old man in Cooloongup.

Seven News reports, the trio went to the man’s Toora Place home on Wednesday afternoon to “collect a debt”.

A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said the 32-year-old knocked on his door and asked to borrow $250 as part-payment for the debt.

When the neighbour declined, the alleged victim jumped a fence into his backyard to try and escape the men, before one of them fired shots which later turned out to be blanks.

Police said one of the men caught up with the victim and dragged him into the back seat of a white Mitsubishi Magna station wagon.

The man escaped but was chased down and shoved into the boot of the Magna, before he was allegedly driven to an isolated area in Hopeland and bashed.

On Thursday morning, police found the Magna dumped on Surf Drive in Secret Harbour.

Detectives then raided a rural property off Mandurah Road, but the two men and woman still remain at large.
