Aussies humbled by Sri Lanka in final ball thriller

Sri Lanka have edged Australia out in a last ball finish at the MCG.

A last ball boundary from the Sri Lankans enough for them to take a 1-nil lead in the best of three game series.

The home side scored 6-168, Aaron Finch top scoring with 43.

Sri Lanka needed six runs off the final over with five wickets in hand and it was left to West Australian AJ Tye to bowl the final over.

The final ball was hit through the covers and to the boundary to secure the visitors a famous victory.

Debutant Ashton Turner claimed two wickets for the Aussies.

Kardinya Park in Geelong hosts game two on Sunday.
